Founded in 2013 by wellbeing-advocate Olivia Scott in growing demand for her outstanding handmade raw cakes, the word spread quickly and The Raw Kitchen started its journey!
Initially Olivia sold her raw cakes to private customers and hand selected Auckland cafes and then in 2014 launched a weekend stall at La Cigalle Market. 2016 saw the launch of Olivia’s much first anticipated book, The Raw Kitchen, and the opening of her flagship store at City Works Depot. In 2017, her second shop in iconic Strand Arcade on Elliot St opened.
The Raw Kitchen is about creating food that is full of nutrients, plant based, wholesome and delicious. Our food is hand made daily with fresh, local ingredients in our kitchens at City Works Depot and Strand Arcade, Elliot Street. With nutrition and creativity at the forefront of what we do, our food is designed specifically with our customer’s needs in mind. We are passionate about sustainability and making the world a more environmentally friendly place, it is the only way of the future. We serve all of our food in compostable and biodegradable packaging and work with local organisations to give back to the community.

A true believer in holistic wellness, Olivia is hugely passionate about the effect what we eat everyday has on our bodies – physiologically and psychologically, and our overall wellbeing. Olivia is a keen yogi, loves immersing herself in nature and all things natural, and has a passion for sharing her knowledge, energy and love with her community. She is involved in the creation of the food, brand and store experience.
In 2013 Olivia founded The Raw Kitchen – what is now considered one of the country’s most recognised raw food businesses with two stores in Auckland CBD.
Olivia studied business and commerce at Victoria University in Wellington, before taking her passion for food and nutrition to Auckland where she studied nutrition at Wellpark College before immersing herself in The Raw Kitchen.
Olivia is a sought-after speaker at various wellness events and has written for and published recipes in several publications including as a contributing author of whole foods cookbook, ‘Whole’. Her first book, The Raw Kitchen, published by Beatnik Publishing was launched nationwide in April, 2016.
